Facility

Innoheart has invested in state of art imaging equipment and onsite IT systems to organize and optimize data from in-life studies. There are dedicated research suites with layouts similar to hospital imaging and surgical suites.

  Angiography Suite
Large room fitted with a GE Innova series 2100 Flat panel C-arm with digital subtraction angiography for pristine images. Imaging is well suited for coronary, cardiac, peripheral and intra-cranial vascular work. Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) and Cardiac Echocardiography can be performed simultaneously with angiography or invasive procedures.

  Hybrid Surgical-Imaging Suite
Large room with integrated air-handling providing negative pressure for open surgical procedures. On-suite OEC 9800 mobile C-arm provides imaging capabilities for cardiac surgery, cardiac electrophysiology, orthopedic and spinal procedures.

  Major Surgical Suite
Open concept large room with 4 full sized surgical tables, each with its own operating light, suspended electrical and gas pendants. Glass windows allow view-in from outside suite for training purposes and Surgical Suite is equipped with a 4 meter screen and projector for lectures or video review. This 1,000 sq foot room can be flexibly configured to do large dry-lab training for surgical and critical care devices.

  Micro Surgery Suite
Smaller surgical suite with single operating table equipped with Leica operating microscope for micro-surgery procedures.

  Histology Suite
Fully equipped room with dedicated personnel for preparing ground plastic sections using diamond band saw. Further precision-grind to a final polished 30 to 50 micrometer thickness section is possible for optimal examination of device and tissue interface. Thin plastic sections of less than 5 micrometer thickness are prepared using tungsten carbide blade to reveal fine cellular details. Routine morphometric study in coronary stents (bare metal, drug-eluting, biodegradable/bioresorbable stents) and myocardial tissues for inflammation score, microvascular density counts and apoptotic index can be performed.

  Prep, Recovery and Holding Rooms
Air-locks protect the prep and recovery rooms as well as several dedicated holding areas.

Study and Data Management
Innoheart has dedicated PACS system for storage of all DICOM compatible imaging acquired in our imaging suites. A proprietary project management system to handle all study timelines and delivery milestones is also available. Lastly, for study sponsors off-site from Innoheart facility, a secured log-in file vault system is available to monitor progress of study, images and data as they become available.
