Histology Suite Fully equipped room with dedicated personnel for preparing ground plastic sections using diamond band saw. Further precision-grind to a final polished 30 to 50 micrometer thickness section is possible for optimal examination of device and tissue interface. Thin plastic sections of less than 5 micrometer thickness are prepared using tungsten carbide blade to reveal fine cellular details. Routine morphometric study in coronary stents (bare metal, drug-eluting, biodegradable/bioresorbable stents) and myocardial tissues for inflammation score, microvascular density counts and apoptotic index can be performed. |
